Safely raise and support the vehicle on a level surface.
Drain the transmission fluid from the pan.
Remove the transmission oil pan bolts and carefully detach the pan, ensuring the gasket is removed.
Remove the old transmission filter and any remaining fluid.
Install the new transmission filter.
Clean the transmission oil pan and the mounting surface.
Install the new transmission pan gasket onto the pan.
Reinstall the transmission oil pan with the new gasket, tightening bolts to the manufacturer's specified torque in the correct sequence.
Refill the transmission with the appropriate type and quantity of transmission fluid.
Reconnect the vehicle speed sensors and the governor pressure solenoid transducer.
Lower the vehicle.
