Installation Information
The replacement procedure involves the following steps:
Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
Locate and remove the air intake ducting connected to the existing throttle body.
Unbolt the mounting bolts securing the old throttle body to the intake manifold.
Disconnect the electrical connector from the existing unit.
Remove the old throttle body assembly.
Position the new throttle body onto the mounting surface and install the mounting bolts, torquing to specified values.
Reconnect the electrical connector.
Reinstall all associated intake ducting and components.
Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
Execute the electronic throttle control relearn procedure as specified by the vehicle manufacturer's service manual, if necessary for proper idle speed regulation.
